Here you will find a list of the winter prices in our hotel in Faistenau as well as interesting information about a holiday in the Salzkammergut.
Winter prices 2020/21
Over New Year (27.12.-03.01.) we request a booking of minimum 5 nights. Bookings less than 5 nights can only be made at short notice according to availability. There is possibly a surcharge of € 10.- per person per night.
All prices quoted are per person per night including levies, excluding local tax.
When booking a room with breakfast there is a reduction of €20.- per person and night.
For double rooms with single occupancy there is a surcharge of €15.- per night.
Children´s prices and concessions
Children in room with two full-paying guests:
- 0 to 3 years: free
- 4 to 9 years: € 20.- per day
- 10 to 15 years: € 40.- per day
- From 16 years: 30% of normal price
In the evening, children may choose a meal from our children´s menu or buffet.
When booking over New Year:
New Year´s Party is included.
With gala New Year´s menu, live music, firework display and mid-night snack.

Explanation of culinary highlights
Based on our experience in recent years, we have decided to charge something for these special requests or for extra purchases, such as special yoghurt, special bread, tofu etc. and of course for the expenses of the kitchen, which has to prepare extra meals.
The main reason for our offsetting is the conscious handling of food. For example, we have observed in recent years that lactose-free milk & yogurt is not eaten by the registered "allergy sufferers", when asked whether no milk products are wanted in the morning to receive an answer like "yes, but the other yogurt has looked so delicious and I have tablets with me”is one of these reasons. Likewise, we not only had it once, but several times, that guests for whom extra cooking was done due to gluten intolerance, simply ordered a Wiener Schnitzel as the main course. The information "We cooked for you especially because of your allergy and the Wiener Schnitzel is not gluten-free" was followed by "Yes, but it is worth it to me". These are only brief extracts from our experiences.
We have to say very clearly from the point of view of the host that this is simply totally absurd and we do not want to throw away any extra food or specially prepared food, it is already absurd enough how much food is thrown away today and, in addition, extra bought or Prepared meals hurt not only from an economic point of view, also the cook who lovingly prepared the dish. Therefore we want to raise awareness for this with the small contribution to expenses.
